Excellent location, nice room, cosy 'like home' breakfast atmosphere.
What I liked best about this B&B was the location. It is just down the street in front of the Piazza Duomo and the fish market with shopping close by. In a word---right in the middle of everything. Sophia was the hostess the day we checked in and was a real sweetie. She knew that we we're leaving very early the next morning before the complimentary breakfast was served. She was thoughtful enough to bring us food to eat before she left for the day so we could have something to eat before we left. Mille grazie, Sophia.
The only thing I would warn those thinking to stay at Globtrotter is that it's very difficult to find the tiny "street" it's on. I would call it an alleyway. But if you can find the Piazza Duomo with it's black elephant, then know that you're very, very close.
Excellent B&B! Very nice room, good breakfast and great location in the centre of Catania. The host was very helpful with practical information about the city.
Navigation system could not find the street (not accessible by car). Driving directions should mention street "Via Auteri". Difficult to find parking space (but host waited outside for us upon arrival).
I would like to recomand this hotel for its best location and comfort. The staff (Sylvia and Sophia) was very helpful, friendly and give you all the information you need. We had an excellent stay over there.
I would like to recomand this hotel not only for its best location, comfort and quietness, but also for its hostess Sylvia and Sophia who speak a very good English and are always willing to share to you information about how to get everywhere, timetable of the busses to Taormina, Etna or Siracusa and i also need to mention and appreaciate their kindness.
the exact adress of the B&B is via auteri!
Very close to points of interest, small and stylish reception, room and large bathroom
Extraordinarily friendly, helpful and flexible staff. Nice and clean room. In particular if you like sweets, you will enjoy the buffet breakfast (I would only miss some fruits or vegetables, but they seems to be uncommon for breakfast in that area and there is an amazing market around the corner anyway). Breakfast is served on a big table which encourages you to start talking to other guests and make new friends. It is very close to city highlights (Duomo square, fish market), yet hidden from the crowd of tourists and still within a walking distance to the main bus & train station.
Really friendly and helpful staff, Laura and Sophie both excellent. Located well for historical Catania. Good atmosphere over breakfast.
Triple room a bit small for three, but not a real problem. Not easy to find - best to get to the castle and ask from there.
the position is very good. In Catania downtown. Close to most beautiful street of catania.
Television. Didn't work well.
very near to the city center, 10 min from the main square. good breakfast, exceptional welcoming staff
we were bitten by bugs!
The staff was very friendly and the room was very confortable. Moreover, the location is amazing, walking distance from all interisting turist points of the city.
The staff was very friendly, room clean. Its position in the historical centre of the city has brought the value of choosing this hotel plus
